Well, with the angle from the blind wall the way it is, what are you going to use that space for if the box isn't there? It's not like you could stand or sit in there anyway.

Still winds up as leg room and just get stuff out of the way. With both boxes it would be like sitting in a little hallway

Yeah seems like the boat felt cramped with both in there. Barely remember tho bc I only had it half a day before everything got ripped apart. Seriously was less than 24 hrs.

You'll never regret enough storage space. My big boat is wide open. No storage at all. I cannot imagine trying to hunt out of it. It's just transportation. No such thing as a perfect duck boat.

I'd say just one. Always hunt facing it so you can have it as a shelf/storage...and you can have all the mic junk thats not needed in the floor behind you (gun cases, decoy bags ect)

This is what I'd do.
Unless you plan on hunting somewhere where you might wish you had that flotation foam if the boat ever goes down.

I'd put both of them back in. They're under the blind so its not like you'll be standing or sitting there.

THANK YOU! I said this to him months ago.

What the hell is it gonna be in the way of? Its under the blind so its not gonna be in the way of standing up. The thing may be 10-12" deep so the floor space is really irrelevant, as in he's not gonna lose enough space to not bring another bag of decoys or anything. The space it is taking up is worthless and better served as a "shelf" of sorts than just open floor.

Anything that could have gone in the floor there can go on top of it and in regards to bags, gun cases, and the like I'd rather have that shit off the floor so I didn't trip on it if I got up to move around.

Flint, bout how wide is it between both boxes? Still takes up legroom and floor space you can't use with both boxes in.

Thinkin I'm gonna cut the front off and hollow it out so I can put stuff under it. Want to hunt from the port side. The starboard side is where my switch panel goes so it has to stay.

Flint said he liked to have a shelf in front of him so the legroom argument is null and void

Which appears to extend out the same distance as the second box in question.

I've been telling him since before this thread started that removing one of the boxes will only create space for shit to get wet and walked over. Keep both boxes and use them as intended. Not like he can sit UNDER the blind wall. It's just too short.

But you also get a raised shelf equal in size to the floor space taken. So basically an additional guns worth of storage space.

Better than 2 guns in the bottom of a soaking wet and muddy boat. Are you expecting to hunt with more than 2-3 people? It's like you've forgotten how shitty the bottom of a well used duck boat can get. I clean mine out all the time and even now there is atleast 10lbs of shitty mud/sticks/grass/leaves in there. Storage rocks.

Flint must shoot a nova because he wants to leave it in the floor.

Might not want to leave those on the floor.

Hard to "accidentally" drop those overboard if you leave them on the floor.
