No. You might want to scuff it before you put the bed liner. Just a quicky by hand with some 36 or 40 grit.

Looks like you could make a very easy "rack" on the bow and transport a ton of decoys/gear strapped down up there and keep some floor space.

Yea, I didnt think about that.. You could make like "mock" poling platform over the engine for a step going into the boat.

Id like to see it. I have my jon boat set up for fishing pretty sweet. I've been looking into a poling platform, but damn theyre expensive.

Not sure if I fully explained how im having to glass the floor in. Basically I couldn't get the rear seat out without taking the blind off. So in having to glass the rear section. Let it dry then put the seat back there and glass the rest in. So today I pulled the seat toward the front and glassed in the rear 3 ft of the boat. Turned out great and the 1 qt per yard is dead on for full transparent wet out. Actually gonna have a little resin left over.

Tomorrow I reckon I'll finish this shit out depending on afternoon temps. Supposed to dip down below freezing in the next few days. I need to get this done with abt 24 days til duck season.

Well shit... Worked myself into a corner. I'll have to finish tomorrow the front 3ft section. Skim back over the top of everything bc the resin soaks through the glass into the wood. Then I'll be ready to put my rubber flooring in and put the gun box back in. Should be done this weekend and ready for a test ride next weekend.

Asking for opinions here dudes. I am for certain going to put the starboard side "gun box" back in the boat. Right now considering putting both back in. They don't offer much storage but are full of floatation foam. And serve as a table top to put snacks and phones on but they do take up floor space.
What say you? Here's a pic of what the inside looked like with both boxes installed

I would say one box for sure. Our build up something similar out of ply that fits your storage needs better.

This is a hard decision. I like to hunt from the port side of the boat. Which would mean I would have no shelf in front of me. What I'm thinking about is hollowing out that box so I can shove life jackets an decoys and whatever else under there and still having the shelf.
