If he does can we call it the Titanic? I think the Fitzgerald is taken.

To obvious, we can do better than that.

Not firing on all cylinders today. Pardon the low level thinking.

Lookin' good Flight
Don't know why, but I had imagined you mounting the whole jetski thru-hull

You really should try not to imagine him mounting anything... kinda creepy.

Wad the original plan and took forever to convince my wife I wasn't going to be driving the boat sitting on the jet ski  Once I got the boat home I decided I liked the boat too much and couldn't bastardize it like that. How some mount it.

Was able to put some time in today but found out I have a leak in my machine and have no gas to continue welding tonight. Was still able to get the bulk of the fitting done and all that is left to fab is the motor mounts.

Made the first cuts into the hull to fit the pump mounting plate.

Then worked the sides out with hammer and dolly and trimmed back to follow the plate.

Then fit the intake tunnel to the hull and all that's left it to open a hole for the driveshaft to run through

Getting close

The big metal thing between the motor and pump. The area underneath it will be cut out and feed water to the pump.

Today I finished basically all the tough fitting of the pump and motor mounts. Everything now just needs to be welded up and dialed in.

I still have to weld on a small piece of pipe that this clamps onto. It has a needle bearing and seals inside it.

I'm wondering if you'll be able to 360 it like a ski. Some guys with performance jet boats can 360 it too.

I've seen videos of guys going 180. Very anxious to get this baby on the water.

Should have done duals.
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.” ― Samuel Adams

Finally got around to stripping the rest of the ski. Now just have to throw all this in the boat after welding.

What do you think? I know lots of people mix but I hate mixing. Figure is probably better to mix
