I bought a 46 acre farm and am gonna flood 5 acres of it. We built levees 2 weeks ago. Thinking of making a small floating blind similar to this. Prob just need 14-16 footer and 2 toons though. Be nice to be able to move around according to the wind

cant tell much here but the levees are 4-5 ft tall so I figure a low profile floater will hide easy once we get it planted next year

Alright...here it is. The steering is push/pull cable steering which I really like but it needs some tweaking because it is really stiff. The blind was originally built with a open spot in the back to haul out a 11' row boat for running decoys and picking up dead ducks. But after the first run without the boat on the back it was very nose heavy with the blind and most of he gear on the front 2/3 of the boat. So i decided to box in the Back and make it decoy/gear storage for the ride out. That solved the problem and rides really well. The prop is a little dinged up and a little over pitched because it starts slipping at full throttle. As it sits now it will run about 10 mph with a full hunting load. I expect to gain 2-3 more MPH with a good prop. With a 40hp on a 25' quad toon I'm pretty happy with that. And nearly all my runs will be less than 5 miles so speed isn't an issue for me.
The brushing job is marginal because I was busting so hard I get it done for he opener and I'm paying for it on some of the smarter local puddle ducks. Next year will be some modifications to completely conceal the toon. But for now it is working awesome on the divers. The flip up roof I really like because it keeps the boat open for setting up then gives good overhead concealment and protection from wind/weather while hunting. The dog ramp takes a little coaching for the dogs we've had but they pick it up pretty quick and seems to work really well. The drop door in the back makes feeding long lines out really nice and easy. All in all I really like it and very happy with how it turned out. Already have a few changes in mind for next season but nothing I can't deal with for the year.

So is this boat going to be able to convert over to a bowfishing rig in the spring?

thats the plan. I'm just not quite sure how I'm going to move it. A trolling motor will be out of the question I think.

Thanks. That good down part works awesome for putting out and pulling in lines. As well as loading and unloading the smaller tender boat.

Nice work man, you put that thing together pretty quick.

Thanks. I worked pretty hard on it for about 2 weeks to get it ready by the opener. Still needs some work but that won't get done till next year.
