Reflector on motor

Reflective sticker on your motor....weird but I've been noticing them on every yamaha I see.
The sticker is red and is sort of stuck on where you put your hand to tilt the motor up (if you ain;t got hydraulic tilt/trim)

I got to wondering why and decided it's so the guy behind you can see you. In arkansas nobody runs nav lights but simply have headlights on the boat which is OK on state waters. I think maybe the sticker is there for when it's parked on a trailer too.
Arkansas is VERY relaxed about trailers and most don't have the lights working.

It seemed like a good idea so I stickered up the boat engine and back of my own boat a little. Had some extra reflective tape so I stuck some on the corners of my truck too.

My blind covers the engine when I'm hunting so the reflectors won;'t flare ducks. 8-)

Makes sense to me. But you're going to look like an idiot if you over do it or don't put thought into where you put the sticker
