Nope. First Sunday of deer rifle is open on private land, and there are two Sundays during bow season open on private land. No public land anywhere is open for Sunday hunting, at any time during the year. Frankly, I'm amazed we're allowed to fish on Sunday's. I really don't see the difference.

Just go fishing and take it with you!

I took the Scroter and cooter ice fishing in WY and they went to the Milion Dollar Cowboy Bar in Jackson WY too.
It doesn't have to be all hunting. The biggest problem I see is a guy will get embarrassed about his numbers and then he doesn't post anything, no pictures , no story..... nothing.
It's supposed to be about having fun all over the place. If you can't get out hunting then improvise.

Hellz yeah GK. Maybe we can time it right and have it the same time as MS rambler. That would be hilarious.

The list has been changed for the next in line. Blackrhino is now up to bat if he's still interested if not we will keep going down the list.

I'm all for it, though I'll let you take responsibility for both deeks. Running north 1.5 hours after running and gunning for snows for a week to try to find a deek I thought was on the side of a road was no fun, especially in the dark and then getting back up at 3 am the next morning.

Our early goose is Sept 1-22, and duck season will be (tentatively) Sept 22-60 days from then. I'm probably (as long as those dates don't change), hunting the first weekend in MN then heading to Saskatchewan for the next week. I could care less if I have it while I'm there. I wouldn't be able to pass it quickly if I had it then. We typically have a late goose season as well.

Sounds good. I posted up on DHC to try and get the MS rambler sometime in late Nov. to early Dec. Probably would be easier on my wallet for shipping if I didn't have both the deeks at the same time. That way, we can arrange more than one hunt with the guys.

I'm in Florida style. If I can get it before September 22 I'll take it on early Teal and Wood Duck which will free up the later season for someone else. Hope the Gators stay away.

3 traveling decoys later, I can tell you shipping logistics don't matter. What matters is guys get it when they think they can kill ducks. I started taking requests and it just turns into a headache. Splits and broken up seasons kill it. You're better off listing every saturday and just let it be first come, first served. Most guys are going to hunt on the weekend, post up all the dates of #aturdays during the season and let everybody fill in the blanks. You'll never please everybody and it rewards who checks in often.

Is the first post the 15 who are getting it? What happened to clyde. Lol, why didn't he make the cut?

If you have a cancel, keep me in mind.

Don. All his posts make me think he's getting ready to go any day now, and I was wondering. Could look it up, but I wasn't wondering that much. Our resident goose used to start mid-August, and you could take 15 a day. Now it's 2 weeks, and you can only take 9.

Yea we've limited to 15 to try and keep it simple, it's first come first serve. Hopefully the list is pretty set now and the guys that'll get it are in it for real, I'd hate to have any hicups for WFF's first traveling decoy.

So what's the plan here? Are we still going with 15 (because the best I can tell, I'm 16th, suck...)? Or are we letting the original 15 take the dates they want and then we will go from there?
To achieve success, one must possess dedication, passion and a boatload of decoys.

I'm thinking we'll let the original 15 have their pick and then go from there. I'd like to keep this as simple as possible, you guys gotta remember because there is only one decoy this year it's got to Cris-cross the country and that ads time. Next year I'd like to do a East and West coast set.

Why the drop out? And if you don't want it we'll go with the next in line to keep it fair.

I just want to make sure that everyone knows that the date listed, is the date you will hunt the decoy. Like I am down for the 6th, which means I would probably receive it around the 4/5thth, hunt it the 6/7th then send it out on the 8th for the next guy to receive it on that Thurs/Fri. I don't know about anyone else, but I will be shipping it first class to ensure it gets there as soon as possible for the next person.
