Sounds about right. Water is a fickle bitch when it comes to physics.

Very seldom are you doing over 30 or 40 on a standup. And fall off mostly on the corners when you are going really slow. I'm not saying you can't get hurt, but usually a hell of a lot better than falling off my dirtbike.

It doesn't hurt so bad if you do it right.

Only if you don't know how to ride them. I've been on both. Standups are way more fun once you get them figured out.

I've been on them. I prefer my old flat bottom sit down skis for the fact that they will spin like a top. They'll go all the way around. and pretty quick. Plus my knees couldn't take that pounding any more.

No way you can ride out a 360* flat spin on a standup ski. That's what I like to do. If you into jumping 10 feet and doing barrel rolls then standups are badass but I'm not that bold.

Damn nuff. I was just thinking. You could probably haul that bitch around in your boat as much shit as you put in there anyways and when you're ready to ride just throw it out. They're a real bitch to cover very much distance on and chug the gas down too.
I just found a deal on 4 standup late 80s skis for $600 for all 4. Guy says 3 of them ran when they were stored 3 years ago. Might not be a bad gamble to take.

I just paid 7 for mine. And that's a good deal up here.
Tried to get it running today and about blew the fucking thing up.
Had a huge backfire that went all the way into the waterbox and blew it wide open.

That's probly gona cost more than you paid for the whole ski. They're cheap as shit down here for standup skis. Can't give the damn things away. I think they're cool but if I get the ones I'm looking at and get them running I'll probly seriously be hauling them
In my boat up to the calm end of the lake where the ski boats don't go. No boat ramps near there and wouldn't want to have to cross all that wake on one. Bad knees for my age.

It's just the fiberglass waterbox that blew. Got a used one off eBay on the way for $30. Scared the hell out of me when it went off about 3' from my face. Still got a little ringing in my ears.

I have water all around my house and my family has property on a small lake up north that I go to most weekends in the summer. If I can get it running, it will get used.

You remember my friend ware, they grow melons commercially and he told me to wait til April bc if it frost then I will be SOL.
Those Carolina 180s can get up to 200 lbs if you do it right.
I've got a patch alongside #13 fairway where I'm gonna alter my irrigation to hit my melon patch when it waters the golf course every night.
Planning on building my mounds from the greens soil that we pull out at aerification.
Also got all kinda goodies in the way of liquid fertilizer. Pretty much gonna have my guys hit the melons with my greens fertility program and also gona hit them with some humates and calcium that I'll be putting on the tees and fairways.
Gona have a fuck ton of watermelons hopefully.
