Ha. Truck seems to do a good job, a longtail though, that will be needed.

How heavy is it?
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Not so quick! I don't have any silhouettes in my spread, but have considered getting some since I have hunted over them with some other guys and found they seem to work very well.

Lol, I know they work. But our dear friend Duck Hammer kills about 2.5 birds a year, so I have to give him hell every chance I get.

I dig those older homemade silhouettes, they have a lot of character. I used those real geese today, and only killed a red breasted merganser.

Get a cordless drill with a long 1/2 wood bit to punch a hole through the frost first.

Penalty of private use. That doesn't make it sound like they don't approve of what you're doing at all.

Ironically, it was notice that they do approve.

The latest.
YHM Phantom Ti 30 QD...to my busted ears makes the 6.8 sound about like a .22 LR...can easily hear the bullets hitting the targets at 50 and 100 Yds.

Been waiting on that one for a while, once it got filed it only took about 4 months to approve...but we dinked around for 4-5 months messing with dealer to dealer transfers

Still like the 6.8? Kicked that one around hard but couldn't convince myself on the price and ended up with my .243.

Latest Purchase Thread

Postby DeadEye_Dan » Thu Jan 15, 2015 4:57 am

I'll admit that i didn't set out to find a 6.8, it just kinda happened in the course of swinging a deal.
I was mainly looking for a gun that the kids could shoot comfortably, but still had adequate terminal performance on critters up to whitetail size., out to 250 yards - and for that, it is about perfect.

It's a fun gun to shoot as well
