Latest Purchase Thread

I bought it from my cousin that just bought it from the guy that did the work to it. Along with the douchebag paint job he had his last name stickered across the front window.

I have a bunch of those 47's and 27's. Only reels I use. Nice buy

Honda Shadow 03-29-2015 small.jpg

My latest purchase. Been 31 years since I owned a bike, sold the last one when my oldest was born.
1983 Honda Shadow 750. V twin, shaft drive, starts runs and drives. Needs some elbow grease taking the surface rust off the chrome here and there but other wise ready to go. Gave the kid $400 and he was thrilled.

Welcome to the club. You going to un-douche that thing?

Black primer would be a good start!

That's a classic diesel truck douche move. A nice simple paint job would make that truck decent look decent again.

What are the specs again Nuff? 12v or 24v? Any mods other than lift?

1995 with 9" suspension lift. Other than straight pipe exhaust it's all stock. 125k miles.

12v engines are very easy to add power to. Read about adjusting the fuel plate I think that is where you would start.

I looked into a few mods. And all of them sacrificed MPGs which I don't really want to do.

Not always the case with diesel. 12v could be different but 24v gain milage with most mods.

That just depends on what you do. I'm looking for a used tuner for my 24v. Sometimes I wish I had a 12v for how cheap they are to mess with.

If your truck is over 30 years old a few parts trucks are mandatory.

It's 3/4 ton LWB that we saved from the torch......he was going to cut it to make a short body.
He threw in the short body bed and I traded for a LWB the next day....almost the same color.

Thing started and ran with a squirt of fluid after four years......amazing.....

Factory air, disc, PS, PB.....
I stole it really

There is no way you wear a 38 length inseam. I'm 6'5" and year a 34" 0r 36" inseam. Or is that how the cowboys wear them? All bunched up at the bottom.

I'm sorry. I need to replace the cub I use. Biggest piece of shit I ever owned. Have a loaner Scag at the moment. Love those mowers.

I defiantly have my concerns. Last cub mower that I had was built in 89. Just don't want to spend 5k+ on a mower.

The international harvester cubs were beasts. The new ones not so much. Looks like you got one of this years model heavy duty models so you may have a winner. Change the oil every 50 hours not 100 like it says. Mine is three years old and has close to 500 hours.
