No. I put them in a ziplock, fill the sink up. Put the bag underwater and get all the air out. Then zip it all but an inch and pick the bag out while the opening is still underwater. Almost all the water gets pulled out and all the air is gone. Then zip it the rest of the way and put it in the freezer. I found a bag from 2 seasons ago that was still perfect. No frost or freezer burn.
