I still do it every now and then. I've got a few small spring fed ponds that hold a bunch of birds when everything else freezes up. You only get one shot at them though, as soon as they get bumped they leave, so jumping is the only option.

It is Rick, that ground hasn't seen water early may. We are just making beds and will pre-irrigate prior to planting in order to germinate weeds and get the moisture right for planting.
