everything here is totally fucked, god damn weather. camped out in Hyalite yesterday, didn't catch shit, so I ended up sleeping for 13 hours through several massive storms, said fuck it and came back to town. my feet are still wet as well.

Don't think our dove sitters start until next weekend but need to check the first split dates, so I can keep my homers locked up for it.

Soooo, my scouting this week wasn't too productive, but found a little spot that had a handful of birds - told myself that if I woke up early enough I'd head over there.....and there's three trucks parked there at 4 am (for a 7am lst) and it's a spot that at best might accomodate 2 hunters.

Sucks for sure. About the only thing worse is getting there before everyone else, setting up and having three truckloads of guys show up right at LST. Makes divers in wide open water look pretty sweet.

Hunting's at such a premium here that most private land is crowded enough that many guests from away ask if it's public, but at least we're assured of a spot to hunt when we get there.
