Don't know anything about goats, but that sounds big. Hopefully he can get it in the B&C books.

That's a huge goat. Most are around 200-240 pounds.

Do the 300 pounders typically require the Montana butt hole shot to take them down?

Oh, and if I haven't mentioned it before. Fuck this weather. Fuck it right in it's stupid mouth. We leave for NoDak in less than a week and the lowest forecasted temperature in that time frame is 42 degrees, including as far up as Canada. I blame Jarbo. Bring on the cold ma facka!

Got some spray paint and these to get my climber ready for deer hunting. Need to pick up some decorative fall leaves and attach a quiver mount. Should be good to go after that.

Big news on the deer hunting front: finally saw a mammal, and game at that, when a rabbit came out at last light.

I've yet to kill a damn greenhead this year...It's pissing me off. This hot weather sucks. The migration is gonna be big and it's gonna be quick. Hopefully I'm out on the water to see it.

Well I deer hunted 3 times this year so far. Saw a bobcat, lots of squirrels, 5 does, 5 fawns, and a spike.
And I was bored...I don't know how you can keep deer hunting when you never see anything.

Our decent deer ground is leased out, and I piddle around with the scraps. Keeps me off the streets, and I still usually manage to put the three or four we'll eat in the freezer before it's over.

Yup. Usually the last week of oct and first week of November are great for flight birds. I don't foresee much good happening before November this year.

That's all that matters. My dads been filling the freezer so for this year with a small cow elk and a big whitetail. Hopefully I can put something in this weekend.

The feeling of having a shooter in bow range is what makes it worth it. Deer hunting bores the hell out of me but when it comes together it's all worth it.

I really don't have much hope until mid to late November but I had to get outside.
