Yes of course that's ALL it takes. Isn't that how you kill ANYTHING?

Flea eggs can remain doormat but viable for up to 6 months and will hatch when the right conditions are met... which would be warmth and dampness. Yards that have little tree cover and thus allow the yard to remain dryer as a whole will naturally have less fleas. Even when I remove them from my home or my dog there is zero way to stop them outside because other wildlife will continue to introduce them to my yard (a yard that is like paradise to them). I can and have treated my yard but when it rains every other day down here the treatment just washes away.

So I disagree that my yard is not to blame.

I guess you're right, they're probably eating us alive as I type and just have been for so long that we don't notice them.

The problem with how they are collecting data was that they do not discriminate. It's bulk collecting of all data passing on the worlds internet as we know it. The NSA and it's various programs capture everything all the time. I can go into more detail about how they do this if you want.

Does Congress's **** get recorded too? Or did they write in there that their **** can't be terroristic in nature?

Everybody, every number, every thing.

The Constitution is no longer treated as sacred and no one in office takes their oath seriously.

They swore an oath, not to defend, you or me or even the United States, but their ONLY sworn duty is to protect the Constitution.

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God."

It's that old crazy idea embodied in the phrase "Give me liberty or give me death."

Most people simply truly believe that their is a lower risk world in which liberty is greatly restricted.

They forget the real truth

"Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety." Benjamin Franklin

And they will have neither before long.

Sadly, unless it has to do with sex and porn, how many think it is essential liberty? What are the essential liberties of the left, of Republicans, etc? If you will not fight for them, then obviously they are not essential.

They collect so much data they built this for 1.5 Billion.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Utah_Data_Center

That facility can store 1 Yottabyte of information. In terms you might have heard before a Yottabyte is 10^5 gigabytes.
That's 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 gigabytes. As in 10 QUADRILLION gigabytes.

That is enough storage to keep 500 quintillion pages of plain text...

Good luck man. I've lost 27lbs in the last 2 months. Running every morning and calorie counting. Doesn't get harder than that. I limits myself to 2k calories a day.

Even when I'm in my truck, I hate it when my buddy drives.

I'm just the opposite. I'd trust anyone I know with my truck. I never really got this. A car is just a piece of machinery needed to do a job. No personal attachments. I've never hesitated to loan it to anyone that needs it. One person scratched it once. They were all worried about it. Hey it's a truck. They get scratched if you use them as a truck.

I could care less about cosmetic. But with it being a jacked up stick shift, it's not the easiest thing in the world to drive. Took me a month to get used to it. And nowadays not many people know how to use a stick shift so that's a big part of it. I just don't want to see someone take it then crash and get hurt.

That is a very different think. Back when I had a stick, of course, being able to actually drive it was a criteria. I'm not going to loan it to a 12 year old either. Unless of course, that 12 year old has been driving for a couple years and he is not taking it on the public roads. If that is all you were talking about, well that seems like one for Captain Obvious to worry about.

I trust anyone that knows how to drive a lifted stick shift to drive it. I just haven't come across anyone but my dad and my cousin I bought it from that can.

I'll say it again. Calorie counting. Get yourself a app and put everything you eat in there and don't eat more than like 1800-2000 a day. It'll suck at first but your body will get used to it.

If you are hungry, you will eat. You have got to find a diet where you keep your calories down without being hungry too often.

And it is nearly all about the calorie intake. An hour of running, you are probably talking about at most 1,000 calories. A great thing, but if you only do that 3 days per week, now you are down to under 500 calories per day. That is something that we can eat so quickly if we get hungry. Few people have the time to exercise enough to lose weight. It's primarily about the diet. Exercise helps, but it is secondary as far as losing weight. It is more about other health issues and simply feeling better.

If you are hungry every day, eventually you will say fuck it, it is not worth it and you will fail.

Figure out who to keep the calories low without being hungry and you have a chance.

My problem is I ate out almost every single meal last week because I had no choice. And OMG could I have eaten good if I had not passed on so much amazing food.

Hating the gym is really not a problem for losing weight. In fact, it could be a hindrance. When I first start hitting the gym after it has been awhile, I get fucking hungry. It goes away, but I rarely drop any weight when I first hit the gym when it has been awhile.

Cookies on the other hand are a big fucking problem. I think simple sugars are the worst. High calorie and zero hunger satisfaction, if not even increasing your hunger.

I developed a sweet tooth which I never used to have. I blame my wife. She can buy that shit and eat it over weeks. If I eat one, I eat the whole damn box. I get fat and she gets pissed because I ate all her goodies.

I'm no nutritionist, but it's my understanding that we're apt to initially gain weight when we begin working out just because muscle's heavier than fat, but because muscle helps burn fat intake, the pendulum eventually swings...

Most people lose a lot of weight at first and it is nearly all water. If you are burning enough calories to build much muscle, you are normally going to lose fat at a rate much faster than you gain muscle mass. However, this really has to do with diet and probably body fat. For me, I get fucking hungry, so I eat more calories than I burn for awhile and then I trend down in weight if I can sustain my routine (something my work does not allow). I believe if you did not change your diet at all, there would be no additional rise in weight for someone that is quite a bit overweight.

If you are 100 lbs overweight, I don't think this is a possibility. If you are 10 lbs over, then it may be likely that you gain muscle mass faster than lose fat, especially if you are badly out of shape.

I've only be 10 lbs over or less for about 1 year in my adult life. Even when I was running 25-30 miles per week, lifting for about 4-5 hours per week, plus another few hours of cardio per week, I was still probably 20 over. Yes, the good old days compared to today when I am about 70 lbs over.

This stuff has always interested me. In part because it is a big driver in my life and think about practically every day of my adult life. Second because it is complicated. One size does not fit all (pun intended).

I used to be at a job where I was standing or walking all the time, now I sit on my ass.I go in spurts where I try to make up for it and end up so sore the next day that i go fuck it and quit. What really scared me was I walked 2 miles the other day and thought I was going to DIE. I was doing good walking the dog 2-4 nights a week then he come up lame so that tapered off.I have to do something or I won't see 50

You may well know more about it than me, was just repeating my health nut brother's response to my question about my experience when I got serious about exercise other than running.

Ohio, fwiw, which apparently may be nothing, in my late thirties, I walked off 50lbs without changing diet. Started out short and worked up to a couple miles twice daily. Worked for me. Then went back to running like I did as a kid, 4-7 miles virtually daily in the off season from then until my mid 60s. Being an addict by nature the endorphins probably kept me at it, but I've also always eaten however much of whatever I wanted, sometimes more than I wanted. But now that I'm feeling twinges in joints I'd like to use a good while longer, running's given way to walking again (with what now passes for a sprint or two every mile to "release the grease" and keep my heart rate up) along with other exercise, and portion control's become a must I struggle with.

Know I never want to get that heavy again, because it seemed such an impossible task to get back in shape. But I did. And if a mess like me with my genetic predilection to pack it on and eat whether I'm hungry or not could, most anyone probably can. Best of luck with it.

I think it boils done to whether you are looking lose a few pounds and not a few stone. You look like a guy that needs to lose a few pounds at most and may a stone.

If you are and active healthy person looking to lose 5 lbs or so, this is probably true.

If you are a fatass like me trying to lose 5 stone or so, this is not true.

BTW, a stone is 14 lbs.

A lot of the story is told by normal people with normal weight issues. I can easily gain over 10 lbs in a 2 week vacation if I am not very careful. It is hard for me to lose more than 2 lbs a week. My brother who was at 445 before he lost 235 and counting as of a few weeks ago was not a person whose eating looked anything like you would expect for someone weight 450. Most people splurge and eat poorly for a few months, and they may gain 10 lbs. I'll gain 50 and my brother maybe 75. That's how I went from 185 to 235 and I've never been able to get back.

What did you do?
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.” ― Samuel Adams

I think I have a shitstorm coming my way.

No good deed goes unpunished.

I am referenced on a Union of Concerned Scientist webpage (it doesn't say my name, but everyone will know it is me) for something I provided, per managements direction, to one of our former lab directors and they fucked up the calculations and put results at the reference the data as coming from me.

BTW, the phone rang before I could even finish this post, so I must correct, the shitstorm has hit
