Why would she do that?

The last couple months have not been very kind to the family, if you recall back in dec, I was asking for prayers for my brother who was fighting bacterial spinal meningitis, he was released from the hospital to a rehab center around dec, 30th. Two days after that my Mother was admitted to the hospital with pneaumonia, unfortunetly Mom lost her battle on Feb, 13th at the young age of 75. A week before Moms passing, my brother had a relaps with his infection in his back that landed him back in the hospital and 5 doors down from Mom. He spent a week in the hospital and was released 6 hours before Mom passed on.
If this all wasn't bad enough, I myself was diagnosed with pneaumonia 2 weeks ago and just took my final round of antibiotics today, I still have a horrible cough, but feelinging stronger every day.
For what it's worth, my Mom, like anyone's Mom, was a very speacial person in my life and I miss her dearly. I am who I am, from head to toe because of the speacial gifts she blessed me with. I will love and miss her forever.

So Dan, I know exactly the struggles you are going through right now and I know a pretty special lady who just got to Heaven that I will ask to keep an eye on your nephew and get him to a speedy recovery.
Best of luck to you and your family.

Thanks - sorry to hear of your troubles, will pray for healing and peace

They are talking about sending my nephew home Friday...they cut out part of his brain Tuesday. I'm amazed by modern medicine.

Thats awsome news Dan, we'll be praying everything works out for him.

Atypically, I have lost that fight with my wife, granted I didn't put up much of a fight because it was not worth it, but she's like flightstopper, everything goes in one load. Image

I actually have a pair of orange dyed long underwear as a result

I love how they basically put you in solitary confinement for an hour waiting for a doctor. Going insane. I couldn't imagine prison.

And they say life in prison is more humane than the death penalty.

Cable tv, 3 meals a day, free medical care. What's not to like?

Of course they have those things. You didn't think that the private prison industry in this country actually wants the inmates to hate going to prison? How else would they make all their money.

The private prison system is a hell of a nasty monster. Looking into that shit is nothing but a constant string of WTFs. Money sucking bullshit.

Was in the yard cleaning the outside a/c unit with several of my pigeons out picking bugs or who knows what from the lawn around me when a Coopers hawk hit one a measured six steps from where I was hosing out the unit. Let the bird go when I shouted "mother something," but, still, that's a bold mofo.

Got to respect taking a chance. He must have been hungry. Or so focused on the pigeon he didn't see you.

I like it. I've seen some that guys sell at trade shows that look like real lamps but your style is pretty damn cool.
