Pulled 15-20 bass out today. Major letdown, couldn't find any crappies. Nother day.

I stumbled into a badass crappie hole Saturday afternoon.
I saw this cut coming off the river and decided to take my boat through. It opened up into this about 3-4 acre swamp/pond.
There was an old man in there pulling out big ass crappie with every cast.
I told him I wasn't gonna tell anyone about his spot but not to be surprised if he saw
me in there next Saturday.

Not to defend CA. However, these TYPES of things are sometimes necessary. We had water restrictions a few years back. What pissed me off was that they did not enforce them. If they need them, than damn it, enforce them.

This is what pissed me off.

I don't know what's going on. The ponds I was hitting should have been producing good but weren't. We gotta get into some fish here pretty soon or it'll be slim pickins at the fish fry this year. Need 10-15 gallons of fish and I think we may have one put up.

I read part of it but not much. Almonds are used for a lot of those yuppie products like almond butter, almond milk, and what have you. You reap what you sow, the people bitching probably consume those products. As to export who knows, almonds farmers are probably being targeted because they are the most visible for the area and easily targeted by the author. But that's just speculation.

Somebody is going to be upset. That's part of the job if you want to be the decider.

I don't know nor care enough to get informed. The best approach is obviously to do as much with a free market system. However, not everything works in a market system. I BELIEVE that you could have a good hybrid system with water where most water prices are market driven and the water needed for public services and whatever else is taken first. If it doesn't need to be taken first, it doesn't need to be under the control of the government. Then whoever it is most valuable to will get it which will result in the most value from the limited resource since the government already took out of the market what was necessary, but not distributed efficiently by the market. Of course, that won't fly in the People's Republican of California. The government knows best.

I just had to give first aid to a kid tripping on LSD who was flopping around in the street. He was so messed up that he literally took the skin off the top of his knee caps and kept leaping 6ft easy into the air. My neighbor and I had to restrain him while the cops/EMS showed up.

He told me his name was God and that I was a "good boy".

It was about 4 am when this 90 lb woman was escorted in to the ER hands and feet cuffed surrounded by 4 large officers. 1 had a black eye and a fat lip. another had scratches all over. She was on Meth and attacked them. she was Pepper sprayed and tazed .

When I was in college some kid in the freshman dorms took acid along with some other drugs... They had to call the paramedics. Dude broke a needle off in his arm and beat the shit out of three paramedics and escaped. Ran away and the cops had to come in and hunt him down. There was a fucking helicopter flying around campus all night. Now how much money did this little idiot cost tax payers with his shenanigans?

We were talking about that kid last night when we were waiting on EMS. We kind of half joked that when the cops got there they'd shoot him. Lucky for the kid he calmed down a lot before the EMS and police arrived.

With the great success that has come as a result of the prohibition on drug, even more success than the prohibition of alcohol, I don't know why there is even a debate. How could it ever get worse?

I think if you are a nicotine addict, you are an idiot pissing away your life and money, but you should not be a criminal or even pay a higher tax rate than someone spending their money on the "right" thing. Same with alcohol, some with pot, same with meth, same with ice cream sundaes or even Big Gulps, same with sex with random strangers of any gender for free or a fee, same with gambling, same with the entire spectrum of things people do to damage their lives.

We are moving to put in place a de facto ban on nicotine and people are already starting to die. That's why that big guy in NYC died. He was a black market drug dealer and the drug he was dealing was tobacco because of the insanely high taxes on tobacco. Sin taxes just make the government the drug dealer with a vested interest in protecting their profits and they do so with force like so many other drug dealers.

For those that think some of these things should be illegal, what fraction of society would call the cops if they found out that their adult children were doing it or even their neighbor that they don't particular care for, but aren't looking to screw over? If the answer is damn few, it is doomed to fail.

If society won't even call the cops if their adult kid or neighbor murders someone, then society is doomed to fail.

Put a ton of laws in place that society won't help enforce simply creates the environment where society will not help enforce the laws that must be enforced and everything goes to hell from there. People argue that it was the drugs that did the harm. I disagree. It is the general lawlessness and local acceptance of the lawlessness.

Every law should be enforced relentlessly if for only one simple reason.
