That's cool one of my favorite calibers too I generally shoot .308 except in extreme long range then I prefer my .338

I'd love to have a 9.9, anything is better that what I'm rocking now. A 1958 Johnson 5.5 I haven't even ran it in 5 years. Going to tear into it this weekend to see if I can get it started.

If I can find a Stiller CheyTac action at a good price, I'm going to build a .375 CheyTac.

Good luck with the 5.5hp. (not sarcasm)
I buy 9.9's and convert them to 15. It's EASY and fairly cheap.
The last one I got was $250 and ran like a champ until it got wrecked in that bridge crash.

Dave had it with "Outer most circumference of a tree canopy." only transposed to the ground, ie: the outside edge of the ground a wet tree would drip on. Gather you're thinking of it as an IV like tool for administering fertilizer, but it just describes the area of ground where fertilization should do a tree the most good.

Well shit, looks like that 5.5 I had isn't going to work. I don't want to mod the transom to make it fit either.

I wonder if you have enough room to take the current hold downs out, and just use regular bolts. Maybe put a piece of 1/8 inch plate between them, and the transom to avoid any damage. I don't think it would take a lot to keep the motor secure.

You know that's not a bad idea. I didn't think about using normal bolts in any other way than actually bolting it to the transom. I'm going to check that out. Thanks for the idea!

Well shit I should have looked at that better. Those feet on those lock down bolts were only held on with some brass c-clips. It fits now

Geez that's close. Them swivel things come off and I'd grind them off a tiny bit. Might work...50/50
