This idiot on Armslist won't sell me a shotgun because I don't have an AL drivers license. Even though on the ATF website it says that members stationed in the state can buy from private parties without being a resident of that state as long as they are stationed there. I showed him the text and gave him a link and he said he doesn't have time to read all that.

Might be doing you a favor. I've seen 20ga Express models with such poorly milled chambers they wouldn't eject the very first round through them due to brass expansion into negative angles in what should have been straight chamber walls.

I woulda been happy with that. I can't hunt for 6 days after tomorrow. Unless I get a deer that is. Tomorrow is going to be cold and wet and a ton of fun. Everyone bailed on me so I guess I'm running solo. Going to hit the bingo again and hope I can get a good draw.

I hope this weather moved some ducks. I'm getting tired of duck hunting that sucks. I haven't even thought I was going to get any shooting yet. I've been out 4 times and have seen ~20 ducks, 3 ducks, 0 ducks (2 flocks of sky high divers), and 4 ducks. It's been terrible.
The rain and snow left the forecast. I don't know if that is good or bad. Anyways. Of to try and break the skunk for the season.

Our season opens tomorrow and I am praying this weather pushes some birds in. The local refuge is about 8 miles from our spot and is holding 4700 ducks. They are normally holding 20-60k this time of year.

They aren't that bad. Usually good hunting and get too see a lot of birds. I only go on weekdays. Yesterday there was 16 parties on 3 square miles. Never had another party mess me up. Today I expect a ton of parties but the birds should be pouring in all day. I'd be on the bay if I could but it's going to be a death trap today with the wind.

Tomorrow is the opener and the first substantial cold front has hit for the season. This isn't gonna set any record for sure.

Looking back, I got a better education than most I have worked worth, but it wasn't worth the extra.
I'm sure the classes were smaller which would almost be worth the extra money but probably not that much.
