X1,000,000 IMO best place for steak other than The Big Texan and Trails Dusk

Pffftt!!! You need to go to a real steakhouse. Texas Roadhouse is mediocre at best.

Don't know that I've even tried their steaks. Usually stay away from most steaks when eating out. For the money you can usually do better at home.

For the money, you can always do better at home.

And what do you suggest?

Non-chains in big cities. Preferably places that only accept cash.

Not so sure. There's a place called Alexander's here that has really fat huge steaks. You can cook em yourself on a huge charcoal grill or pay the chef to do it over on his smaller one. Indoor cookout. We go there when it's really cold. Getting big mugs of beer and standing by that fire, cooking Texas toast...my favorite place to eat.
There is something good about Texas, toast. Lol

I'll be damned of I'm going to go somewhere to eat and cook it myself. Fuck that. Maybe they could just come sit in my kitchen and charge me a fee, next time.

And I like Texas Roadhouse, too.

You're being a dumbass. You don't have to cook it yourself. Its a dollar to get chef to do it but knowing you, you'd see all the hot U of I girls cooking steaks and change your mind.
Don't knock what you don't know. Alexander's is the best steaks for 100's of miles.
YA BIG DUMMIE.

Nice.

Allegedly there's a WPA sign hanging over the doorway to my bathroom.

Found it one day at work. My dad has an old Type II wildlife sign that I've been trying to get my hands on to add to the collection.

I did for all of 2012, I sure wish they still needed me out here. This ranch is a gem. Just beautiful. I'll get some pictures up.
