I dug deep into my brain for at least 10 minutes trying to figure out what was wanted, which by my calculation was 9 minutes and 53 seconds too long, considering it is second grade math. I'm so done playing their games.

That was where I snatched the paper from Layniebug, and slammed it on the counter to write my note, but it ended up in some water from the sink. Went the pencil went through, I darn near threw the whole thing in the trash.

I thought about this and...
You must use at least one but not one of each shape for a total of twelve shapes.

The shapes:
The big square is 100
The tall rectangle is 10
The small square is 1

Now make the smallest number using twelve shapes. Two big squares minimum. Ten left...
They use four rectangles and six small squares.
Why not 228?

Make that dumbfuck teacher bitch explain

It should be 2 big 5 medium 5 small.

Or any combo of 2 big and at least 5 medium and at least 1 small.

But it IS rocket science to kids who have NEVER added or subtracted 3 digit numbers for any length of time, who don't know how to borrow or carry, and who have so few practice problems at school that they have to count on their fingers to add 8+7. I'm not making that up. I know it's happening a lot of places, but there's many around here who are ready to start lynching.
