We are riding out the blizzard in Montana. We are only here because two of my daughters are in a basketball tournament. Really beautiful here! Also saw plenty of pheasants and a few honkers. Also saw what appeared to be a dead Greenhead in the middle of the road. If it wasn’t for an 18 wheeler riding my butt we would’ve stopped to check it out.
May have to consider giving Montana a try next waterfowl season.

Got the same system moving through here, light snow and a breeze. It'd be a great day for deer hunting

Surprisingly I’ve only seen a few. See a lot more around home than here.

Never been to eastern Montana but have really enjoyed my travels to the western part.
Hope to get out there to chase turkeys at some point in the next few years.

The furthest west we’ve ever been is Billings but I hear past that is absolutely beautiful. As much as I coyote hunt I can’t believe they don’t come out this way more to take advantage of the coyote hunting opportunities.
We will be back out this way again next week but more north. Pretty excited to see a different part.

Fellow who owned our camp was part of a group who had a place on the Milk River near Nelson Reservoir. Lots of stuff to hunt close at hand.

According to Google maps we will be 51 minutes away from there next weekend. Depending on the weather may need to take a drive to check that area out.

Plenty of public ducking, but an ice chest of shrimp will open every private gate within reasonable drive. Well, used to...

That’s good to know! All I have to offer is sea monkeys though so not sure that will give me too much access!

About 30 miles to the east of us there were thousands of Canadas. Hopefully they are there on the way home and I will take a video

Can’t remember what zoo it was in Wisconsin but they were nesting in with the black bears. Up on a rock ledge.
