Sorry Olly, but the Foo Fighters got on my bad side. They want to castigate the Stones for getting a lot of media attention when groups like Rush (or the Foo Fighters) don't receive so much. At the R & R hall of Fame inception they put down the Stones because Rush hadn't received credit due. C'mon, Rush and the Stones? That is one field of endeavor where you get attention if you deserve it. Rush has been at it as long as the Stones, but ask the avg 20-50 year old to name two Rush songs? Uh...got me. Two Stones songs.....I bet most people on the American streets could name 10, which would be more than the Beatles.

Don't get cocky Dave............respect your elders.......who are also your betters. If you earn it in the future you might learn a little humility.....but you better have the same fuckin work ethic as the Stones who slugged it out EVERY night regardless of anything, including the death of many friends, relatives and members. Foo Fighters haven't learned to wipe their own asses compared to the Stones.

Hey Jim I know you like to debate but I don't think anyone can be right or wrong about music. That's what makes it so unique. Personally I would rather listen to a over weight Armenian giving birth to twins in stereo than listen to anything by the Rolling Stones but that's what music is about. Like just enjoy what speaks to your soul... man

Are you kidding, jehler? I've got more soul in my ass than most people have in their whole bodies. In fact, people often call me "ass soul".

  Of course you're right, Olly. Two obvious explanations: first, as you said, I like to debate/argue. Secondly, I've had a thing for the Stones since about 1966/67. When people slag on them I feel like they're calling my grandkid ugly! Nothing, or very little, is ever serious when dealing with me though so don't take my criticisms as mean-spirited. Just like to raise the volume to 11 sometimes.

About a week ago, I was working out in the weight room with some other football players and one of them played these two songs on repeat, and I got the best workout of my life.
