Close to Done

I had a little time to get some work done on these and they are real close to being done. Sanding, branding, sealing, pad weights and leather line loops will complete them.

RickC your work never ceases to make me stop and look in awe. Even being simple coots. They belong in one of those decoy books you always see on someone's coffee table.
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.” ― Samuel Adams

That back one by the box? Hooded merg answer hen that's been giving me fits trying to get painted right. I'm going to attempt it again trying a technique I've been researching called grisaille.

Thanks Oily, it's kinda like golf. Addicting, fun and can drive you nuts. There's no one else to blame for bad results, just yourself.

I was thinking merg but the color had me thrown off. The beak should have give it away.

Yeah, that's a cover up and start for the paint that'll go on whenever I get around to it. I had some paint left over from the coots and it was over there asking to painted
