iv seen them and i know where to find them. most of the ones i find are on cane fields but i dont quail hunt much. i think there is a place in welsh that does quail hunts but i dont know the rates

Yeah going to a preserve is not my think i just didn't know how the population was doing down there. Do you have duck pics you could email?

I live in SE La and we always use dogs for regular season. I've never had an issue with snakes in my area. We don't use our dogs for teal season due to the amount and size of gators in my area.

For the first split if its still warm I keep an eye on my dog and don't let her do very long retrieves. As stated once the water temps drop they become lethargic and won't eat. We commonly see gators sunning on cold days but they don't bother anything.
