Most of the time I go out for 10 minutes at a time.
Twice a day. Morning then evening. When it's cool or not a storm.
My pooch is spoiled on it and has a timer built in where he sort of just shows up and nags me until I cave and grab his duck. It's not training so much as getting him outside to run. Comes in. Lays on cold floor and pants.
It takes about 20 minutes a day to keep Millet where he's always happy and wagging his tail.
Maybe some berries or a little honey. (That really perks him up)
He's spoiled big time.
Yesterday he got his first ice cream.

Mama says he's bonified.

I try to do the same Mike, but mine is usually a very brief outdoor or an indoor session at lunch working on “line manners” since it’s so hot then a session late in the evening. Mornings are best temp-wise, but are just too chaotic with 3 kids under 5 years old at my house. 10 minutes a day beats the pants off of longer sessions once or twice a week.

Heat has us down to about zip here, as even the deep water is hot. If it ever rains again, we'll do a little out in it, but mostly we're on hold until nearly teal time. Hopefully going into our dead period fit enough to come out of it in pretty good shape. But Marsh is now eight, and "we'll see..."

Damn Marsh is 8? Feels like just yesterday he was replacing the coyote.

Might go get some peaches and let the pups visit.
He lives by the peach n apple groves.

Careful...where we are at in life it's easy to say "last dog".
It's a bad idea and if you even think it just talk to yankeegray about it. It's in the blood now.

Had a little moment this morning where I had to "place the dog " and it dawned on me how important the "here" command is.
In the dark out in the woods with a boat packed with decoys being able to place the dog so the boat don't lean is important.
I want you "here" and I point.
We fight for space in the morning and I have to move him around. If he don't want to move you can't move him.
"Here" works.
If you haven't done that ...work on "here".

Another obstacle is when the pooch immediately jumps into the water when you toss the first decoy. Icy water ends it usually.
We worked thru that way back a couple years ago.

And here we are again.
He's trying to mind meld and put an idea in my head.
