They sure they had the right spline to begin with? Midget draw length?

Don't know. Same draw length as me. I think it was more the the 3 blade than the arrow, though, although I like to think that played a part. None of my set ups have ever shot the 3-blades worth a damn.

And standard plastic vanes are the devil with the faster bows of today. Either feathers or blazers work best. There's just not enough "ooomph" in those plastic vanes to keep the arrow straight- they fold over too easy.

Smashbangit. Now I'm going to have to try the muzzy 4 blades and compare to the 3 blades. Been happy with the three blades all along, but curiosity is going to get the better of me.

I'll let you know what I come up with.

Get the regular size, not the compact.

Just curious, more often than not the guys with broad head problems were just shooting the wrong arrow. Can get decent flight with field points but throw a broad head on and it amplifies the problem.

It's got to be enough for the blade to hit the hide before the tip does. The blade hooks and spins the arrow around and the deer walked away with a little poke in his side. Happened to me once with them my first season bow hunting. Could have something to do with me only pulling back about 40#s then.

Probably has more to do with the poundage than the broadheads. Never had an issue with them.

Just that one time for me. One of the best flying broad heads I've ever shot though.

They spiraled all over. We were shooting at my house, and they both shot carbon express arrows. For grins, they shot my arrows, and they flew perfectly. I suspect it was the 4-blade as well. The 3-blades don't fly worth a **** even out of my slow bow. Either way, with the 5575 gold tips and the 4-blades, they shot fine, so they switched back from mechanicals.

I don't shoot gold tips. Heard They have a lot of variance in weight.

I think you get the drift, if not, I can explain it in smaller words.
