Postby tomfinch » Thu Oct 10, 2013 3:00 pm

Hi!... I just bought one of these and put it together ..I really like it ..but ..I can't seem to get the throttle cable to work properly... Where its supposed to go which is the big chrome peice where the turtle and rabbit are...is way to stiff to work right !.... Can't it be loosened ? Or should I hook it up to the throttle link under it which is way more responceive...? Any help is thanked in advance

I'm not sure exactly what those motors look like, but I would think here should be some spot designed for a throttle hookup...Maybe not. Just mess around with it and see where it will work best. That's about all the help I'm good for, maybe someone else will give you better advice.

Less parts to fail and directly to the source.

Do not run directly to carb, would bypass governor and possibly turn too many RPMs.

You say that like it's bad. Governors and rev limiters are only good for children and riceburning dickheads.

Growing up with many small engine powered vehicles, i've spent many hours rebuilding them. Dad always told me, you're gonna blow it up, or burn the cylinder out. My go cart I put a cam in, made a header for and ran on alcohol was a prime example. That fucker exploded in a fiery ball of flames, would of looked awesome at night. Not worth it in the long run.

If you're still running the stock flywheel without the governor, please get an aftermarket one. People have gotten seriously hurt from the stock flywheel blowing apart in those clones with the governor removed.

For about $200 you can get the stage 1 upgrade for the 420 predator from nr racing. Without the governor removed they claim it will boost it from 13hp to close to 20hp.
