Slowly worming through painting up these 3 mallards. The drake is pretty straight forward and doesn't have much left but the hens are stretching me to my limits.
Hollowed northern white cedar body and cedar head. Painting these in oils.

Thanks, I have avoided making hens because of the complexity but decided this year I was going to concentrate my efforts on doing more. This consignment fit that criteria.

Got a little more done on these started glazing the bodies a couple days ago. Just need to finish the bills and top of the tails, maybe throw in some more colors on the hen heads
