With rain predicted to get started today, and stay with us thru Saturday eve, I took off yesterday in hopes of sneaking in a mid-week hunt. Have not heard any positive reports, so we decided to spend a little time scouting before setting up. Met one of my brothers on the causeway @ daylight, and spent the next two hours scouting. We counted a total of 10 Gadwalls in our search, and decided to say to hell with it and head home. Did see a slight influx of coots to the area, but that was it.
