Big Spread for Early Season?

Postby R. Chapman » Mon Sep 02, 2013 5:11 pm

Anybody do it? The last 3-4 years, early in the season we will have at least a 100 birds landing on top of us with just 3 dozen decoys. Last season opening day we had probably circling around us but would come in. This year were thinking of putting out 12 dozen Dekes just to see if that works for early birds, your thoughts?

Best Regards,

I put out 6 dozen up until the end of first split.

When I hunt public marsh I'll only use 2 to 4 dozen and a jerk rig.
