I bought a dozen weights from Jim Porter back in August just to try the Texas rig style (BTW I prefer Txeas over normal line and weight now). Since I had to have what I wanted I asked if he would do special orders and he was more than delighted. My order was 3.5 feet of line with a 6 oz. mushroom weight. The total it cost me for my first dozen was $32 and it was shipped to my door is 3-4 days. On orders over two doz., its $25 per doz. for his line of stuff, not specialty like I order. All I have to say is I believe they're far superior to Rig 'Em Right. All American made, the weights are other than the large swivels. He even professionally crimps the black studs for the line so they're garunteed to not slip.

If you're not going to make them check out http://lifetimedecoys.com/ they do a job too.

Looking at the website they do. I got a dozen rigs to test out from them and they're nice but I can't justify not making my own. It's much cheaper.

Dude, yer killin me.
I buy twelve 8 ounce strap weight, cut them in half, drill a 3/16" hole in the half that has no hole, then use the black plastic line from Tangleless. Go to Cabelas or order online.

4 ounces is plenty of weight under almost any conditions on my flambeau water keel decoys.
