We closed the last duck hunt of the season Saturday.
Started at our lake hole but the fog set in and killed our chances.
By the time we drove home it was noon.
None of my regular crew was interested so dragged a junior who attends our church along and we headed to the refuge.
There wasn't much open but we took a pit blind in a less than desirable area to make the best of it.
It's a good distance back to the blind so we biked on in.
I set up a good looking spread and went to work on the call and we ended up with a pretty good day.
