Trinity Site

Postby RonE » Tue Apr 01, 2014 8:45 am

The site of the first atomic bomb explosion (Trinity) at the northern end of the White Sands Test Range is open to visitors each year the first weekend of April and the first weekend of October.

If you have any interest in military history, this is a must see.

You can still find pieces of the green glass that is pretty well cleaned up. Friend of mine found some and took it home, which you are not supposed to do, so that if he ever gets cancer he can do his own radiation treatments.

It really is an interesting sight/site and poses no health threats with the minimum exposure visitors get.
