Midgets can get under a boat to give more lift with their legs than a guy lifting with his back. Just sayin.

How well would that work to tell the rest of your crew "Ok, now that we've got them out of the little boat and in the big one, I'm going to stay with them for the afternoon"

And does your helicopters have the gun on the side to sweep across the bow of running boats? I'd imagine that'd do a number on a string of divers.

Today was a goat frack of epic proportions

We are minus one hand held radio, one garmin chart plotter and a whole lot of confidence.

More later

If you are anything like me you were cursing the low water all day. I do every time I go out.

This is important to my mental picture- did the radio go in the drink or was it and the plotter broken at the same time in a disgusted collision, caused by a disgusted throw?

The radio must have been abducted by aliens, it's just gone. The chart plotter took a hit to the screen by something and blew the LCD out.

So. We are staying at a small resort, has a ramp and slips. The water level is fine, maybe 6" lower than last year but really not an issue. Launching the boat was pretty much uneventful, jgun had to give a little push in the bow but we were fine, I back out drive over and tue ip to the sea wall. Jr gets out and we go about loading food, pans, electronics and such into the boat while jgun launches the tender. No sooner does j get the little boat in te water and I notice that the little Chanel has a ripping current. I also start to notice that jr is having to have things down to me. The fracking channel that 3 minutes ago was 90 yards wide is now 30 feet wide. I trim up the motor and the back of the boat goes down, oh chit....

J gets the bow pulled around and we story our way out, make it 150 yards and we are stuck. J (in the tender) grabs the anchor off the front of the barge and takes a bit of line an tries pulling. We make it another 10 yards. He's pulling like a madman and the anchor is flying all over the place in the tender (he's pretty positive though that this has nothing to do with the ding in the screen if the chart plotter where the display was hit) and we are bottomed out again, even the tender is getting stuck...

This part here just made me laugh hysterically. I would pay $50 to have a lawn chair seat on the sea wall for the shenanigans. You should just start cursing like Jim Lahey.

Soooo...we hatched a plan this summer to swap out layout flags in a buddies boat.
Last night as the beers were flowing, the plan was put into effect.
I was still setting decoys this morning when he found it and the "You mf'ers. Not effin' funny!!" text messages started flying...

Probably didn't help that his girlfriends dad was the first guy in the layout....lolz!!

Those are some sexy mergs. We dont get many around here it seems. Still never shot a hooded or red breasted drake. The common I shot was fully plumed and probably weighed over3 lbs. One hearty bird.
