We just look for the spots they are feeding, and set up there. Water depth isn't really an issue as they'll feed in 100+ fow with out concern.
Typically the tide isn't an issue, as opposed to hunting brant, that come in to feed off the exposed grass at low tide.
we do the same thing, and every time we get set up jgun starts the second guessing in how we shoulda gone a few more miles cause he glassed a few birdsDeadEye_Dan wrote:We usually scout and hunt at the same time, usually 12-20 gallon per boat per day.

I was thinking minimum 90hp. Just having a hard time figuring out how much motors cost.

Steve will try and talk you into an E-tec. Don't do it. Get a ricer 4stroke of some variety.
Check Ebay for new motors, you can find some deals.
I bought a brand new Yamaha 90 4stroke for $7200 including freight from FL to MI, prop and crontrols were $350 and I was cocked and locked for less than $7600
