We left the house at 6:00 and got set and in the cat tails by 6:45
We were on private land, so we had it all to ourselves. But I'm thinking someone we do t know about hunted it on the opener.
Diring early teal we saw 35-40 ducks there and todayaybe 10 and they were very skittish.
Had 1 pair try to land in the decoys at 7:35, came up to shoot, my gun misfired (bad ammo, I think) and my dad dropped his bird
That was it for the morning. Stayed until 9:45 and left because we have some stuff to get ready for the UP.
