Early season officially wrapped up yesterday. Been out for geese 5 or 6 times and have only dropped 2 geese for the group. Neither of which I pulled the trigger on. The geese are here, just not cooperating. I've scoured a couple water spots each holding 50-100 birds, and when we hunted both spots they never showed. The weather has been too nice to get them moving and all the locals are pretty well educated. North zone opens Saturday for regular season, but I'll likely be deer hunting. Then the next weekend is the south opener, so hopefully we can put the hurt on a few ducks.
