Deer

Postby jarbo03 » Sun Oct 12, 2014 4:55 am

Time for some venison. Made the 3.5 hr trip to central KS for the 2 day pre rut whitetail antlerless only season. Decided where I wanted to set up, and almost made it there. Before I got there, this big doe came across the CRP field. Stopped at around 100 yards, one shot to the neck dropped her in her tracks. Gonna be some good eats.

Old man put one down on Sunday, she was a big 200# plus doe, made for a fun 1/4 mile drag in the mud. Was an awesome morning to be outdoors, pheasant were cackling, quail were whistling, and got buzzed by some ducks.Mine was hanging from the night before, we cleaned em both in the tree and headed home. Lots of venison in the freezer.

Dad, wasn't as thoughtful as I was, he made up for my easy drag!
