I think the biggest ones I have ever shot have been somewhere around 10-12 pounds.

Real tempting.

On an unrelated note...somebody/something took care of all the swan chicks up there since the last time I was up...They went from 7 to 0 in 2 weeks. I was gonna take some out if they were still around this weekend.

You would kill swans before you killed Canadas? That's an even bigger fine. Your logic is not making sense.

Mute swans...not trumpeters if that makes a difference. I hate those damn things...I like geese, other than they shit all over the grass when we aren't there.

Farm geese get to be well over 25lbs. My buddys daughter has some mallards right now that are over 10lbs.

So if this contest comes to fruition, what are the rules and prizes?

Prize is a "Baddest Assed Goose Killer" banner under your name til next years contest, and the goose has to be delivered to me to be weighed on my frabil fish scale for official score. Dont worry, I double checked its calibration by weighing a rock that I think is 10lbs, and it confirmed its weight.
Its legit.

Good thinking, we'll mail the scale around and trust everybody to do their own weigh ins.

Along the lines of a contest, we could just do a wff contest. Get a fish scale, and take a pic of your biggest bird on it. Honor system, because the prize would probably be something meaningless. Maybe 2 categories: you shot, and was shot when you were there.

If we want to do something like that, what could we do for a prize? Anyone have ideas?
