Man, I'd give it a try at least once. Load up with HeavyShot for the initial volley then use the cheap shells for the cripples. You should be able to get a few jumps out of a box.

I asked if those things were good and WFM said not to bother. Has anyone found something better to do that many birds?

I tried to borrow a hitch cleaner.

We were pretty organized for cleaning them. This was my cousins second jump in the last ten days. He has cleaned thousands of birds in his life.

We got thru it pretty quick.

The carcass pile is on the back part of my ranch with a trail cam ten yards away. I am hoping to confirm if bobcats are nearby. If not, coyotes gotta eat too.

It's my understanding they're not so hot for big Canadas, but guys who lease from us have a homemade bird hitch look-alike mounted on a steel table that works slick for breasting smaller geese. But then you're probably still going to want to fillet the breasts and skin out the legs, so it may not be worth the investment for most.

Honest question. In a situation like that are you picking one out or are you just unloading on the entire group?

Did you watch the video? 8 shots in about 3 seconds! Of course he picked out each bird he shot at.
