He said NO BFF Tiler!

He must have said "no" on the other site because I still can't find a post here saying yes or no.

No bands....and trust me, we were looking!

I am gonna be honest here. All I was paying attention to was keeping the muzzle down and pulling the trigger as fast as I possibly could...there was no need to aim. I always prefer a smaller pond as you are much lower and closer to the birds. Its also makes for faster clean up (retrieves). This pond was bigger than I like to jump.

I am happy to say that my M2 did what it was designed to do. It fed shells flawlessly.

I may have mis-spoke. That tube was loaded with 2 3/4" shells so I could get 8 shots. With 3" shells it only holds 6...and we wouldn't want to miss 2 extra shots. So what you saw in that movie was done with 2 3/4" shells. Do we need to debate the 3.5" shell debate? LOL

I woulda picked up the ones on the bank and slinked over to the owners house and said he has a problem on his pond.

Because you tried to piss on the cripples in the water to "fix" them?

Even with goose eyes that can pick out a stubbled blind at 100 yards, they couldn't see it past 60 huh?

The guys I know who sneak on snows...use buckshot. Have heard of a guy killing 40+ snows with one shot. Nine big ole BB's that pass right through a snow goose.

7.5 In TSS would be believable.

How many pellets would be in a 3 1/2" shell?

That would be interesting to see. Probably would look like a cloud of angry bees leaving the barrel.

I believe there are 183 pellets per oz with TSS #7. In comparison, I believe 1 oz of lead #6 has 237.

So how many ounces could you load into a 3 1/2?

Looks like 1 9/16 of steel 3s in a 3 1/2. You could pack a lot more 7s in there than 3s. Lot of pellets no less.

You could easily fit 4 oz, I wouldn't load over 2.25oz. Beyond that is a crapshoot on making a safe load. I loaded some for turkey, watched a friend shoot a Rio Grande at a lasered 81 yards, bird dropped in its tracks. Was hit in the head, and noticed 7 pellets with complete pass through of the upper breast. Was a 1 5/8oz load at approx 1050 fps.

Damn, sounds like good stuff. Hopefully Nitro Turkey does the trick for me.

So maybe 300 pellets? Thats more believable to kill 40 birds in 1 shot.

Nitro are very good, loaded with 12g/cc Hevi Shot. They do a lot of duplex loads, but I would choose a straight #7, plenty of killing power to 50 yards.
