Here's something you guys might be interested in
Back in 2005 I think it was, don't hold me to it.
It was the last year you could only shoot one Aleutian Goose.
Anyway my buddy who's more like my little brother is out on his family's ranch.
And the Aleutians are thick there , and he has a huge flock working.
For those who don't know Aleutians are like snows typically they come in huge numbers wave after wave and start a grind.
So he's out there with this little spread of lessers we painted white rings around their necks , at this time no one I know of made Cacklers decoys.
So he's out there and a pair drops down low he picks his one goose out squeeze off and dog gone if it wasn't triple banded.
The third band a tarsus was put on when they transplanted some birds from another island to another.
It's pretty cool

It's also fun to watch them on the Mapes Ranch as I'm across the highway shooting clay targets !
Picking out the banded ones as they feed is something to see !
