Postby J.M.Molnar » Sun Jan 11, 2015 6:14 pm

I was talking to a co-worker from S.Carolina and he never saw anything like we do in Maryland for Geese...How far south do goose hunters rig out in a field just for Canada Geese?? I have heard that Va. "might" be as far as the guys rig out for Geese...

Sounds about right to me.

On another note they could fly to the Carolinas but nobody would ever know because they only internet scout down there.

We get a few in northeastern NC but we're not allowed to hunt them, with the exception of one per day for seven days, with a special goose permit. Not sure about hunting them in VA but know they get a few of the same geese we do. MD is where everyone goes to hunt them.

Today; We had the wind change on us today.. 18/20 geese tried to get into the pocket and just could not so we had to make a shot on the wing.. killed jst 2.. Only 2 guys shot.. I am not shooting over someones head..
