Hey, guys!
Hope everyone had a successful and productive last hunting season.
The question is as follows. How do you get large amounts of bait and equipment into the field?
Most fields are closed to automobile traffic.
And, as you know, you have to haul a lot of stuff on your back: decoys, blinds, guns, ammo, thermoses and....daily......
Share your experiences and what works. Thanks.

If you can't use an ATV instead of a truck, you might consider pulling a sled. A lot of duck and goose hunters use a Jet Sled (hard plastic)

If you get one of those you can't go wrong. He can even pick up the decoys for you.

I would add that hunting in fields, go with silhouettes and/or shell decoys. You can haul a lot more of them into the field.

We can't legally haul bait, but if hauling a lot of weight. A sled is not the best way to go. I have a deer cart that I use for dragging heavy things around. The sled is more convenient for hauling light things like decoys, but too much friction if you weigh it down. I have both and use them both every year.

Thanks guys!
I actually bought a sled. It's a great option for my tasks.

Andrey, our geese have left for the season, so I'm reminded daily of the truth in your signature line.
