Last year was super drought turned super flood in late October into November

It needs to be dry as a popcorn fart, and deep snow to da north.

In our dreams, yes, but in reality even average or slightly drier than average would be a win compared to last season's floods.

Darren in Reggio? That boy kills them everywhere
I hunted with Himel's outfit in Reggio about 15 years ago. Had a great time and it was Gadwall heaven. Was my first trip to La, and it did not disappoint. Good Stuff!!!!!!!

Rick would know this but I guess the others haven't dabbled in outdoor media:

Once a magazine/outfit has your photo, they'll often use it all over at their discretion, even when not associated with original story. I'm familiar with Steve but don't know him personally (fortunately they send checks every time, though). That photo was taken on the Northshore of Lake Pontchartrain in the 2006-2007 season. With some searching you'd likely find it in a couple of other stories as well. I send them a zillion file photos a year yet I can't figure out why that same one has been used over and over.

Have to admit I'm surprised to hear that of the mag I'm guessing has it.

They've been surprisingly good about it, often times with text or photo use I don't even know about until check arrives. Thankfully I've not bailed on my day job, however.

Got my blue wing back, taken at Rick's mudhole on December 29. Pleased with how it came out, and also looks like I may have room for another teal on the same piece of wood so may look to add a drake GW teal next season.

Been doing more of getting ready for the stork than getting ready for ducks of late, other than working Harry a bit in the yard. Planning for some blind work in a few weeks

The weather during 2014-2015 was pretty sweet. Fairly dry and very cold November, also had some big fronts around New Years and in mid January.

Aug-Sept issue just coming out now should have two stories in it, one on fresh water fishing and one on teal.

I contribute to 008 Magazine's outdoor adventure section each issue, they're based out of Lafayette. You can view their issues on their website if you so choose, otherwise you gotta grab one off the stand (free) in greater Lafayette area. Latest is the Aug-Sept issue
