Saginaw Bay
34°, cloudy, winds SSW @ 5-7, waves 1-2 feet.

Made it to the ramp an hour before shooting time, and enjoyed watching the mad scramble of boats and guys and dogs trying to beat each other out.
We took our time getting dressed and getting the boat ready and by the time we launched everyone was long gone.
We idled out truly not wanting to be on the squaw water until after legal shooting time.
Days like today they'll fly all day, and it's more important to be in their flight path than it is to be on any kind of "X". Having said that, we do have our most successful areas marked on the GPS and we headed there first.
Finding no one else within a mile or so, we sat and watched the birds start coming in from open water to feed.
The other groups were banging away pretty good as we dropped the layout and ran 2 lines of squaw decoys.

The birds were pretty abundant and decoyed well enough that we killed everything inside 45 feet for the most part, and left the longer passing shots for another day.
After it was all said and done, we motored out 4ish miles, shot 2 limits, picked up and went and watched some buddies finish their 5 gun limit, and motored in and were sitting back at the ramp 2 hours after legal shooting.

Several boats were still out, and after breakfast we passed 2 ambulance's heading towards the boat ramps with lights and sirens - haven't heard any chatter about anyone having problems - hoping all is well.

Breast them out and add them to the sausage pile.
End of the season it all gets mixed 50/50 with pork and we get brats, summer sausage and snack sticks made

Good job Dan!
Have you ever wondered why your dick still looks brand new, but your face is starting to look like an aging pirate?
