Tick-Tock!!

Tick-Tock!!

Postby DeadEye_Dan » Thu Aug 06, 2015 8:02 pm

The countdown is on - September 1 is right around the corner.

Wheat is pretty much all off, and geese are scattered all over.

Have really noticed teal numbers starting to build in the little marshes I watch.

Will try and get some pics up this week - with teal and goose opening on the same day - it'll be a judgment call in the week leading up to Sept 1

I'm jealous that your season starts so early!
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.” ― Samuel Adams

My thought too Rick...although I actually shot more green wings in October than I did blue wings in Sept.

And yes - it's nice to be able to start early.

We proposed dates for the 3 zones last week, and not including teal and early goose - we will be able to hunt ducks somewhere in Michigan every weekend from 9/26 -12/27 except the weekend before Christmas. I defy anyone to bitch about those opportunities.

You know someone will.

Unfortunately - yes, they are.

Nearly 90 days to hunt ducks, if you're willing to travel a bit, and 107 days to shoot geese...and guys get hung up about 2 days here or there
