September birds

Postby quackhead » Tue Sep 01, 2015 6:40 pm

Season kicked off today. We ended the goose hunt with are limit and decided to go for a little dove in the afternoon. Got 2 doves and a lot of missed opportunities. Weather was nice. Started off 39 this morning with sunny and clear. Ended up in the 80's. Ran over a hundred goose decoys. Not sure why but I guess it worked lol

Nice! Thanks for sharing.

Opening day for ducks and geese today. I have guests from Kansas that were able to join hunter and I this morning. Unfortunately we had to hunt a 4th string backup spot due to mix up with landowner and being beat to another spot. It still worked out alright because we were able to shoot some birds anyway. It was a warm morning in the 40's, mostly clear skies and no wind. The birds really didn't fly until after 8. Looking forward to the next shoot.
