I would gladly take your lack of ducks last 3 days I hunted. Specks saved us. We getting in a "void of waterfowl" - (quote from Larry Reynolds after a survey several years ago) situation.

And a pretty field Redhead at that ! Very nice

For the few I know that have gone, it's been ugly slow on this end. Most are still hammering the speckled trout

For a spot you've said was off the beaten flight path, that seems a pretty sweet little farm.

Not anything near what it used to be duck wise---my great grandfather, grandfather, and Dad saw the duck days

Has gotten better goose wise over the last 30 years

Usually have a good December, and early January---November usually struggle

Me and Dad are blessed, stay patient, take what we can, never sky bust---I constantly keep the blind hid with fresh grass, keep the water right, maintain the decoys

Y'all doing it right. Can't just throw out a bunch of decoys and hope for the best anymore unless you've got a really special place. I always say the people make the blind what it can be, takes a lot of work to make an average or ok place produce.

Glad you are having great hunts with family.

Awesome hunt, John!

I've been checking legs for a long time... and nothing. The only two bands I have are from years ago. One from an old snow goose, and the other, a wood duck.

Geese were moving like crazy in Klondike after our marsh hunt and was killing me to have other chores to attend to instead of hitting the field. Glad someone was out there more than enjoying the show.
