Sounds good to me.

Been seeing reports of specks in California and the title made me think, maybe, you'd run into some here. Before discovering the internet sound libraries and what was on youtube, I'd not pick up a call unless geese were here to keep me honest.

They are the best teachers that's for sure. I keep about 20 mallards on the pond for the same reason. Just listening to what they do and when they do it.

Listening to that sound clip, I need to start working on my yodel variations now that I'm pretty comfortable and consistent with my basic yodel.

Don't suppose I could pass these off as specks?

Going to call that a yes.
Am not a coonass so maybe you should try not using waterfowl slang.
Probably should say that for about 20 years every duck I shot was a mallard or a wood duck. It took me that long to realize that I live in a waterfowl desert and try somewhere else. Sucks being poor.

I'll give you the GPS cords to cormorant cove if you want to see thousands of them nasty things.
Luckily they stay in that one cove. It's closer than 300 yards to the power lines so no shooting is allowed there.
Squeal? They sort of croak I think. Must be missing something so 'splain it more plz.

Nevermind. I asked my peeps wtf a squealer is and now I get it. No wonder I have no clue. Those never ever ever come here.
They're not even in my ID book. Self-taught so am bound to make some mistakes. Those are fulvious whistling ducks.
Betty's a fool. So?

Had some of both over the blind this morning and was "tee-hee"ing them all like fulvous in a little ACME 212(?) dog whistle but can't remember which those were. T'weren't the year's first specks in any event. That kick remains in my future.
